Document Source Workspace View

The Document Source workspace view is where you will spend most of your time in Spider Writer. This is where you create and modify your web documents using the many features and tools available.  Spider Writer comes fully equipped with all the editing features you need, including instant syntax color coding of over 10 languages, spell checking, syntax checking, find/replace, multiple undo/redo levels, selection transformations, and much more. Split-screen editor/browser mode can be set from the View menu so that you can see how your document looks on the web as you edit it. Special Characters can also be displayed from the View menu. See the Edit menu for more editing options.

Sidebars

Sidebars provide extensive additional functionality such as an attributes editor, local files list, environment management, script outline, code snippets, task list, and results for syntax checking and thumbnail viewing. Tag attributes can be edited without opening an additional window, by using the Attributes sidebar. The default hotkey for loading the Attributes sidebar is F4. The Environment sidebar provides access to Spider Writer projects, data connections, and Visual SourceSafe projects.
